Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe & Scenic Flight to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Your journey begins with your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, where you’ll be warmly welcomed by our airport representative. After a short briefing, you’ll board a scheduled light aircraft flight to Mweya or Kasese Airstrip, offering breathtaking aerial views over Lake Victoria, scattered crater lakes, and the lush valleys of western Uganda.

On landing near Queen Elizabeth National Park, your driver-guide will be waiting to transfer you to your luxury lodge nestled near the Kazinga Channel or within the park’s northern sector. After lunch and check-in, the afternoon opens up to your first game drive in this incredible park, home to lions, elephants, leopards, and Uganda kob. The evening closes with a sundowner and dinner at the lodge, your first night spent under a blanket of stars and safari sounds.

Day 2: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Safari

Today offers a full immersion into the wild character of Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is famed not only for its big cats and elephant herds but also for its breathtaking variety of ecosystems, from savannah plains to volcanic crater lakes and papyrus swamps.

After an early breakfast, set out for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, a region particularly active with predators and large herds of antelope. Keep an eye out for hyenas returning from night hunts, herds of elephants crossing the tracks, and if luck is on your side—lions resting on fig tree branches or trailing prey in the early light.

In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy one of Africa’s most iconic water experiences—a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel. This natural waterway connects Lake George to Lake Edward and draws an astonishing number of hippos, crocodiles, and over 600 bird species. You’ll cruise past elephant herds quenching their thirst and buffalo soaking in the heat. This close-up perspective of wildlife at the water’s edge is both peaceful and dramatic, often providing some of the most unforgettable photographic moments of your safari.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi by Flight & Forest Welcome

After breakfast and a relaxed morning, you will take a short domestic flight from Mweya or Kasese to Kisoro or Kihihi Airstrip, depending on your designated gorilla trekking sector. The transition from savannah to rainforest is swift but dramatic—flying over ridges and valleys until the dense, mist-wrapped Bwindi Impenetrable Forest reveals itself below.

Upon arrival, a guide will meet you for a scenic transfer to your luxury lodge set near the forest edge. Here, you’ll unwind with views of rolling hills and the sounds of jungle birdsong. The afternoon can be spent at leisure or with a short walk around the community. In the evening, receive a briefing on gorilla trekking and prepare for the awe-inspiring day ahead. Rest comes easy, lulled by the forest’s nighttime melody.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

This is the day you’ve been waiting for—the day you meet the gentle giants of Bwindi. Rise early, fuel up with breakfast, and transfer to the Uganda Wildlife Authority briefing point where you’ll receive essential guidance and be assigned a gorilla family group.

With your ranger guide and porters, you’ll venture deep into the forest’s undergrowth, trekking across challenging terrain that changes from sun-dappled paths to tangled vines and steep climbs. The trek may take between 2 and 6 hours depending on where the gorilla family is located, but every step is worth it when the moment arrives.

Suddenly, the forest parts—and there they are. A silverback lounges regally while his youngsters tumble and play around him. You’ll spend one hour quietly observing these magnificent creatures: a moment so pure, so powerful, that time seems to vanish. No fence. No zoo. Just you, the gorillas, and the forest they’ve called home for centuries.

After this extraordinary experience, return to the lodge for lunch and a well-deserved rest. The evening is yours to enjoy—by the fireplace with a local brew or recounting the day’s magic over dinner under the stars.

Day 5: Return Flight to Entebbe & Departure

After a relaxed breakfast and final glimpses of the forest, you’ll be transferred to the airstrip for your flight back to Entebbe. Soar once more across Uganda’s diverse tapestry, from jungle to lakeshores, reflecting on the once-in-a-lifetime encounters you’ve had.

Depending on your outbound international flight, you may opt for a dayroom or an optional visit to the Entebbe Botanical Gardens or craft markets. At the appropriate time, our team will transfer you to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight home.
