Not every company that offers gorilla trekking deserves to be recommended. Our evaluation process is built around five non-negotiable standards:

Every operator we recommend holds valid licensing and operates in full compliance with UWA and RDB regulations. Permit handling must be transparent, traceable, and legal.
2. Guide Expertise
We assess guide credentials, field experience, and knowledge depth—not just whether they hold a certificate. The guide makes or breaks a gorilla trek.
3. Logistics & Safety
From park gate transfers to emergency protocols, we evaluate the full operational chain. Comfort and safety cannot be afterthoughts in remote forest environments.
4. Conservation Accountability
Operators must demonstrate active, not performative, conservation commitments—including community benefit-sharing, low-impact practices, and compliance with gorilla habituation and health protocols.
5. Guest Experience Consistency
