Furthermore, this safari offers authentic cultural encounters with the indigenous people who were the former dwellers of the forest. As a result of the formation of the park, they were relocated to small communities at the edges of the forest. Be immersed in their culture and learn about the way of life of their ancestors.

3 Day Uganda gorilla trekking and cultural safari detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
On the morning of your 3 Day Uganda gorilla trekking and cultural safari, our driver guide will pick you from your residence or home. After a short briefing, embark on the scenic drive to the western part of Uganda. A short breakfast break at the equator offers a chance to take some good photos at the equator monument. Proceed towards Bwindi through Mbarara and Ntungamo. In Kabale, you will have a lunch break before proceeding to Bwindi. The drive allows you to enjoy the scenic terraced hills that make up Kabale. On arrival in Bwindi, you will check into the lodge and relax. With the views and sounds of the forest, you are assured of a relaxing evening and night.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi and cultural safari with the Batwa
Gorilla trekking is the highlight of any safari to Uganda. On this day of your 3 Day Uganda gorilla trekking and cultural safari, you have a warm breakfast before proceeding to the park headquarters for a briefing. Here, you will register, be briefed about the guidelines of gorilla trekking and be assigned gorilla families to trek. These guidelines ensure a smooth and enjoyable trek. Armed with a walking stick, plenty of water and a packed lunch, you will venture into the forest.
The trek to the gorillas is thrilling and offers epic moments in the forest. Depending on the location of the gorillas, you may have to trek for about 2 hours before coming face to face with these amazing primates. You are allowed an hour with the gorillas. Take pictures, videos and observe them as they eat, play and groom each other. Remember to adhere to the guidelines given by the rangers. After the trek, you will return to the lodge to relax.
Later in the evening, go for a cultural tour of the Batwa people. These were forest dwellers and they got their food through hunting and gathering. In this cultural tour, you will experience their former way of life through their music, folk tales, dances and food. Proceeding the cultural experience, you will be able to visit the local crafts shops for souvenirs. Then proceed from these craft shops go into community projects of the Batwa and the local communities. Retire to the lodge for the evening.
Day 3: Return to Kampala.
This will be your last day of your 3 Day Uganda gorilla trekking and cultural safari. After a warm breakfast, we will depart Bwindi impenetrable forest and head for Kampala. Lunch will be served at Igongo cultural center before proceeding to Kampala. On arrival, your guide will drop you at your residence, hotel or airport. This will mark the end of your 3 Day Uganda gorilla trekking and cultural safari.

Guidelines for Gorilla trekking
- Keep a distance of 7 meters between you and the gorillas at all times.
- Keep your mask on during the encounter with the gorillas to prevent communicable diseases
- Avoid direct eye contact with the gorillas as this can be construed as intimidation
- Keep your voice low during your interaction with the gorillas
- Stay as a group during your interaction with the gorillas to avoid confusion within the gorilla family
- Do not drink or smoke in the presence of the gorillas.
